Yeah, the other day my friend brought up the topic of the PHILIPPINES and HETALIA. Honestly, the thought of a Filipino character in APH makes me wanna barf orz
It also makes me rage too. I hate how..a majority of Filipinos are so..nationalistic. They're so prideful in anything that's closely Filipino related, it's so goddamn annoying.
Like how in that one Skittlez commercial with the Thai and Filipino guy yelling at each other. Honestly, I think it kinda portrayed Filipinos in a bad light, ie irrational, impulsive, and violent. Yet comments on Youtube are all like, "FUCK YEAH! FILIPINO PRIDE!" >____> Jesus christ people, get a clue.
So yeah, if there was a Flip in APH, I'd /wrist because of all the, "YEEEEAAAAAH! FILIPINO PRIDE!!!" that's bound to happen omg But at least it's not like they'll protest like Korea >AAAAAAA>
Also, if a Filipino character is actually made in the future, I hope he's:
1) Stupid. Kinda like Italy stupid but on a different level. Not airheaded, but I guess just more naive and childish? Kinda like Soma but more extreme. He asked for independence from America and now he doesn't know wtf to do.
2) Annoying. Should go along with being stupid.
3) Loud. Should be a given to the above as well. But this is essential for Filipinos in general. Like every other Filipino, he should yell to the person he's talking to even though they're only two inches away from him.
4) Rude/obnoxious. Well, this should be a given with being loud. Just be Mr. Cocky and I'm better than you, Gloats at nothing, etc etc.
5) Smiles for no reason.
6) Points with his lips.
7) Gets bullied by Spain.
8) Idolizes America.
9) Is the whore of Asia. Hey, PI got screwed over by Spain for the longest time, got chewed out by Japan, and pretty much screwed again after America left LOL And since Flips are viewed as sluts in Japanland, LOLWHYNOT?
10) He's called Tito Boy and has abajillion family members.
11) Chinelas. Need I say more?
12) Oh and plastic floor runners.
I can go on and on with Filipino stereotypes, but I think you get the point LOL
I was gonna make him an ugly Flip too but since APH is filled with bishounen and cute girls, I tried my best to make him look like a stereotypical "good-looking" Flip. Ayup. But then he just turned out to look like a majority of the Filipino guys at my school LOL I was gonna give him slicked back hair like Yusuke's from YYH, but that's just kinda gross orz Also, I can't draw barongs LOL *lazy*
